Nothing like a good deal

I’ve always loved finding good tools. My Father always drilled into my head that Craftsman and Mastercraft brands were really the best tools for a home owner or amateur mechanic to have. I now find myself watching the Canadian Tire sales flyer every weekend to see what sort of deals have cropped up. I’ve noticed that in each weeks flyer, Canadian Tire has one item that’s a particularly good deal. It looks to me like that one item must get sold at or below cost. More often than not, that deal is a socket set, and you can only have so many socket sets, but recently the deal ‘o’ the week was a 1/2″ drive SAE and Metric Impact Socket set. I’m planning at some point to have a decent compressor in my garage and I’ve been holding off on buying an impact gun and sockets until I have a decent air supply. I wound up making an exception. Canadian Tire had this $220 49 piece socket set on sale for $99. PLUS they threw in an electric 1/2″ Impact gun. The socket set is from the Mastercraft Maximum line and has a lifetime warranty. The Impact gun has only a 3 year warranty but I can live with that.

Sometimes a decent deal just sort of comes your way!
