2000 Mercury Grand Marquis

I knew from the moment that I test drove this highway lummox that I had to have it. My 1998 Chrysler Intrepid was getting a little long in the tooth and was starting to burn oil. It was time to make a change. I test drove a Ford Crown Victoria, a Buick Century, and this Marquis. I had to take a few trips out to the lot to get a look at it as the lot owner had taken a liking to it and I had some trouble finding a time when the car was on the lot. Once I was 5 minutes down the road, I knew this was the car for me. It had the same acceleration as the the Crown Victoria but felt much more comfortable to ride in. It cleaned up really nicely and was easily one of the nicest cars that I have ever owned, even nicer than the 1994 Buick Roadmaster that replaced it was when I got it. Obviously, the Roadmaster is getting nicer all the time and the contest will be much closer as time goes on. I didn’t get a lot of pictures of the Marquis and these pictures were taken just days before it sold.
