Car Hobbies abroad

At times it’s really easy to think of the car craze as being a purely North American hobby. Collecting, restoring, and cruising in classic cars feels like a slice of pure Americana and how could anyone else hold claim to a hobby like this. Well customizing and showing cars is as popular in other countries as it is here. New Zealand is commonly known as a mecca for car folks. Australia has more than their share of motorheads. The word “hooning” even originates from the land down under. Remember all of the cool rides in “Mad Max”?
